A big data healthcare management system developed by the Guiyang bureau of health -- in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently received recognition at the national level.
The system won third prize on Nov 21 at a conference on innovative applications of emerging technologies in hospitals.
The event was held by the China Hospital Information Management Association, or CHIMA, in Hangzhou, the capital city of East China's Zhejiang province.
At the event, representatives from 81 big data cases that were shortlisted by expert review, online voting and peer recommendations gave briefings on their projects on site or through online video.
A number of CHIMA members attending the conference served as judges, with the panel awarding the Guiyang bureau of health project third prize in the "hospital data governance construction" category.
CHIMA is a branch of the China Hospital Association and is a non-profit industry academic organization engaged in hospital informatization.
It has grown into being the largest professional academic group of medical and health informatization in China.
And it is creating a professional organization system covering basic and applications research into health information technology, or HIT, in various fields of medicine and health. It is now one of the most influential and leading academic organizations in China's HIT field.
