On April 20, a mobile COVID-19 vaccination vehicle debuted in Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. It is the first of its kind in the province.

Persons who meet the conditions for being inoculated shall complete the pre-inspection, registration and vaccination processes in sequence using their ID cards. The entire procedure only takes two minutes.

The mobile vaccination vehicle is equipped with three vaccination stations and two smart cold-chain equipment units used to store the vaccines.

The cold chain equipment units are connected to the cold chain monitoring network of Nanming district's center for disease control and prevention, to make sure that the vaccines are stored at a constant temperature of 2-8 C.

Also, in-vehicle Wi-Fi can be connected to a 5G network to ensure rapid information transmission.

In addition, the vehicle is equipped with air-conditioning, disinfection and ventilation equipment, which provide a comfortable and safe vaccination environment for the public.

The mobile vaccination vehicle was jointly developed by the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Haier Biological. Much like fixed vaccination points, the vehicle can realize digital vaccination management.

"To meet the vaccination needs of people, Nanming has been actively exploring the application of different types of vaccination sites. It has not only opened vaccination points in community health service centers but also added temporary vaccination points in crowded areas such as campuses," said the relevant person in charge of Nanming district's center for disease control and prevention.
