A seminar on Guizhou-ASEAN disease prevention and control was held on May 27 at the Guiyang International Eco-Conference Center in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The meeting was a part of the 2021 China International Big Data Industry Expo, which took place in Guiyang on May 26-28.
Focusing on big data and medical care, the seminar was hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government.
It was held to share good experiences and practices from the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the application and promotion of big data in the medical and healthcare field.
Experts from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and China shared viewpoints on a range of topics, including improving vaccine protection efficiency, pandemic prevention and control experiences, the application of big data in managing and controlling the pandemic, and the application of big data in vaccination campaigns.
Attendees also advocated strengthening cooperation on pandemic research, exchanges on pandemic prevention and control measures, and exchanges on vaccination planning.
