Due to the recent COVID-19 situation in China, Guiyang Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued reminders to residents of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

People traveling to Guiyang from high-risk areas, and those with a Guizhou health code that is yellow or red, must contact their communities and employers and cooperate with the implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures, such as health monitoring and nucleic acid testing.

Residents of Guiyang are advised to stay up to date on locally transmitted cases, adjustments in local medium and high-risk areas, and the movement of infections.

People are also advised not to visit cities with reported locally transmitted COVID-19 cases.

The public should continue emphasizing personal protection and maintaining social distance.

Those who meet vaccination requirements are advised to get vaccinated or receive booster shots as soon as possible.

Crowded public venues such as medical and health institutions, shopping malls, transportation stations, and tourist attractions, should strictly enforce the wearing of masks, temperature measurements and health code scanning, as well as daily cleaning, ventilation, and disinfection.

All medical institutions should strictly implement closed-loop management of fever patients, strengthen appointments for diagnosis and treatment to avoid crowds, and carry out regular nucleic acid testing for hospital staff members to avoid potential nosocomial infections.
