New medical industrial park to be built in Wudang

The Wudang district government and China National Equipment Guizhou Co signed an agreement on June 2 to co-build a medical industrial park.

The medical industrial park will mainly focus on manufacturing, circulation and services related to the health and pharmaceutical industries. It will consist of a production base for leading enterprises in the industry, a hub for local enterprises, and an incubation base for innovative enterprises.

The medical device and pharmaceutical production base will focus on the manufacture of medical devices and pharmaceutical products.

The China Medical Devices Guizhou Headquarters Base will consist of the China Medical Devices Guizhou Headquarters, the country's leading third-party imaging center, an inspection center, and a hemodialysis center, and will establish R&D, certification, testing and other service systems.

The industrial park is expected to stimulate the development of the pharmaceutical industrial chain in Wudang district, provide a considerable number of jobs, and effectively promote the development and growth of the health and pharmaceutical industries in Wudang.

Wudang is a leading demonstration area for the health industry in Southwest China's Guizhou province. The output value of its health and medicine industries accounts for one-third of Guiyang's total and one-fifth of Guizhou province's total.

The two parties are highly complementary in the development of the health and pharmaceutical industries.
