Guiyang conducts free outdoor medical clinic for seniors

The Guiyang Bureau of Health and the Third People's Hospital of Guiyang recently held a free outdoor medical clinic designed to improve the nutrition of seniors and boost their health in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Free blood sugar and pressure measurements, health education and preventive health promotions and consultations were provided on site.

Medical staff members from the hospital carried out a promotion focusing on epidemic prevention and control, vaccinations and traditional Chinese medicine-themed health care. The promotion also focused on prevention and treatment of common and chronic diseases of seniors, nutrition and health, as well as the prevention of health-oriented fraud. 

By explaining health policies and science to seniors and giving 260 medical consultations, the event improved their ability to acquire, identify and use health information.
