Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has opened two 24-hour hotlines to serve vulnerable populations in its jurisdiction amid the outbreak of the new round of COVID-19.
Vulnerable people include elderly people over 80 years old, households registered for subsistence allowances, persons with disabilities, orphans, de facto unsupported children, and households with seriously ill people.
They will receive services related to purchasing medicine, seeking medical treatment, necessary supplies, and delivery.
A total of 488 households in Nanming district are considered vulnerable. The Nanming civil affairs bureau will call them every day to ensure they have everything they need.
Moving forward, the Nanming civil affairs bureau will continue to expand its service scope and improve services.
