The Guizhou branch of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine officially opened in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 11.

Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, has 3,125 beds and is the largest traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital in China.

The annual number of patients treated by the hospital has ranked first among China's TCM hospitals for more than 20 years, and it has ranked as the most competitive TCM hospital in China for nine years.

The Guizhou branch hospital plans to provide 1,700 beds and will have two hospital areas in Guiyang's Nanming and Guanshanhu districts.

Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine will introduce its advanced technologies, excellent management experience and talent training models to Guizhou, in order to make up for the shortage of Guizhou's high-quality TCM medical resources, improve Guizhou's overall medical services, and reduce the number of patients transferred to other provinces.

With Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine's strong TCM R&D system and Guizhou's high-quality TCM resources, the Guizhou branch hospital is expected to become a platform for the innovation and development of Guizhou's TCM industry.

Shi Qiaorong, Party secretary of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, said that the hospital will strive to improve Guizhou's medical treatment, allow its high-quality medical resources to benefit more areas, and strive to become a national regional medical treatment center.
