Guiyang starts annual lottery for nine-valent HPV vaccination

The first lottery draw for the nine-valent HPV vaccination in 2023 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held online on Feb 25. 

The targets are 12,400 women aged 9-45, regardless of if they are registered to a household in Guiyang. Those who are eligible must ensure their own health conditions and participate in the lottery on the premise of completing other vaccination sequences. If they cannot be vaccinated within the prescribed time, they will automatically be deemed ineligible for vaccination. 

Those who were chosen in the first round must make an online appointment within three days of Feb 25, and complete verification procedures and their vaccination within 10 working days. 

Participating vaccination clinics are located in 36 community health service centers around the city.
