Guiyang promotes health, pharmaceutical industries in Wuhan

The Guiyang Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Promotion Conference, hosted by the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, was held in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on April 7.

More than 50 well-known pharmaceutical enterprises in China, over 100 entrepreneur representatives, and relevant business associations covering biopharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicine, medical devices, health management, and elderly care services, participated in the conference. 

At the conference, the Guiyang Bureau of Health introduced the pharmaceutical investment promotion projects of Guiyang and Guian New Area. Wudang district in Guiyang made a promotion on the development of its health and pharmaceutical industry and also promoted the Sinopharm's western medical industrial park. Xiuwen county in Guiyang promoted its local investment advantages and pharmaceutical industrial park. Additionally, Xifeng county in Guiyang promoted the introduction of several chemical drug projects and pharmaceutical industrial parks.

The person in charge of the Wuhan Office of the Guiyang Municipal People's Government hoped that high-quality pharmaceutical enterprises in Hubei and Guizhou will further give full play to their industrial advantages. These enterprises should seize cooperation opportunities, broaden cooperation fields, and attract more resources, technologies and projects to settle in Guiyang and Guian New Area.

After the conference, participating enterprises and local governments conducted in-depth exchanges on industrial layout, project introduction, medicinal material planting, technological upgrading, and production capacity improvement. They also established a communication and contact mechanism to accelerate cooperation and development.

Attendees reached a consensus that Guiyang and Guian New Area have location advantages, good investment environments, complete industrial foundations, and huge development potential. They will also take this conference as an opportunity to further broaden cooperation. 

In recent years, Guiyang has highlighted the investment attractions of its health and pharmaceutical industry. Relying on local superior pharmaceutical enterprises, the city has advanced the introduction of Sinopharm's western medical industrial park, as well as built a medical device and pharmaceutical production base and the headquarters of China National Medical Device Co.
