The First People's Hospital of Guiyang based in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has furthered its cooperation with Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, to accelerate the high-quality development of medical services in order to better meet the growing demands for medical and health services.
A group of six experts from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University visited the Guiyang hospital on April 14, carrying out joint outpatient services, surgical guidance, expert ward rounds, academic lectures, and science popularization activities together with medics of the Guiyang hospital.

During the ward rounds, experts carefully examined the patients' status and put forward opinions on their diagnosis and treatment plans, focusing on the patients' medical history and disease changes.
For some critically ill patients, experts conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the medics of the Guiyang hospital to come up with the new treatment plans according to the patients' current treatment measures and efficacy.

In a joint consultation, experts from the two hospitals conducted in-depth discussions and consultations on the patients' conditions, made accurate diagnoses, and provided patients with more comprehensive diagnosis and treatment services.
The experts from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, accompanied by medics of the orthopedic department of the Guiyang hospital, performed three surgeries for patients with arthrosis diseases. The surgeries were broadcast live and were synchronously transmitted to a display device through a network. This allowed other medics to conduct the real-time observation and technical exchanges.

In the afternoon of the same day, an academic lecture was held in the Longdongbao division of the Guiyang hospital. Three orthopedic experts from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University gave special lectures to share the latest updates on diseases, new technologies, projects, and advanced concepts with the medical consortium of the Guiyang hospital.
The other three of the six experts went to the Guizhou Radio and Television Station to record a live science popularization program, bringing science knowledge on the prevention and treatment of bone diseases to more than 100,000 viewers in Guizhou through various live broadcasting platforms.
The expert visit brought new theoretical vision, technological innovation and management experience to the Guiyang hospital, which played a very important role in promoting its high-quality development.
